Delays to rail services in Devon and Cornwall during October
Rail commuters have been warned of delays to train services in Devon and Cornwall as essential track maintenance is carried out.
First Great Western customers are being advised to check before they travel as Network Rail carry out the works from Saturday 12 October to Sunday 20 October
FGW are laying on buses which will replace trains from Exeter St Davids, Crediton and Barnstaple.
A spokesperson for FGW said: "Once complete, this will mean more reliable services and fewer delays for customers. To allow for the track renewal work between Eggesford and Portsmouth Arms, trains will terminate at Crediton and customers will be able to use the rail replacement service from there to Barnstaple.
