He said: "I basically fell over it as I was walking in the woods and picked it up. I saw a gentlemen in my street who was a milkman and he reckoned it must be from the 50s or 60s."
The glass bottle is etched with Dartington Hall Totnes, Turberculin Tested Milk, Farm Bottled, Barton and Old Parsonage.

The great grandfather said: "I just thought it was quite interesting and thought somebody might be able to shed some light on it.
"With the debate about badgers being culled at the moment, it is interesting to know they were testing milk for turberculosis all those years ago.
"I was born in 1948 and I have never seen anything like it. It was just there on the surface and I fell over it. It is unusual and would be interesting to find out about when the dairy was there."
