Developers unveil plans for nearly 900 new homes
Plans to build almost 900 new homes in the north of Plymouth have been unveiled.
The outline proposals, submitted to Plymouth City Council planners, are for 873 houses and flats on farmland at Seaton in the north of Plymouth, between Forder Valley Road, Blunts Lane, William Prance Road and Charlton Crescent.
The developers, KDR (Forder Valley) Ltd, also propose shops, offices and a One Planet Centre – an educational facility designed to promote ecology, biodiversity and a productive landscape.
The application states that the centre is likely to include a farm shop, café/restaurant, and meeting rooms.

Another 38 hectares of farm land would be turned into a new community park.
The application says: "The park will create a superb natural setting for the built neighbourhood and a focus for using and finding out more about the countryside within the city.
"The aim is to provide a Community Park which includes a working farm, a visitor/education centre; the One Planet Centre, diverse habitats, allotments, areas for walking, exercise and informal recreation and woodland walks."
