Devon County Council's Christmas opening hours
Staff at Devon County Council will be working through the Christmas and New Year holidays to make sure people can access vital services over the festive period.
From Christmas Eve onwards My Devon, the County Council's customer services call centre, will be available Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm, and Saturdays 9am - 1pm, with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day. It will reopen for business with its usual operating hours of Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm, and Saturdays 9am - 1pm from Wednesday 2 January.
Information and help for older people, vulnerable adults, and their carers is available from Care Direct on 0845 155 1007. For all social care emergencies, outside of the My Devon opening hours, please call the Emergency Duty Team on 0845 6000388
For all enquiries about road maintenance, traffic management and parking, streetlights and signs, and public rights of way, call Roads and Transport on 0845 155 1004.

Christmas clutter can be recycled at Devon County Council's recycling centres during the festive holidays. All of the County Council's recycling centres will be operating during normal winter opening times: Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am - 4.30pm, with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day when they will be closed.
These facilities are based at Barnstaple, Bideford, Crediton, Exeter - Exton Road, Exeter - Pinbrook Road, Exmouth, Holsworthy, Honiton, Ilfracombe, Ivybridge, Kingsbridge, Lyton, Newton Abbot, Okehampton, Sidmouth, South Molton, Tavistock, Tiverton, Torrington and Totnes.
Everything from Christmas trees, wrapping paper, Christmas cards and cardboard boxes to glass bottles, televisions and fridges can be recycled at the centres.
