Devon pensioner dies 13 weeks after Barnstaple Cross crash

Police are appealing for information after the death of a pensioner who died in hospital from injuries suffered in a November road crash.

Patricia Anne Daniels, 78 and from Copplestone, died in the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital on Tuesday following a collision on the A377 last November 13 weeks ago.

Mrs Daniels was the driver of a red Nissan Almera which was in collision with a silver Volvo C70 on the A377 just before 5pm on at Barnstaple Cross, between Crediton and Copplestone.

The cause of the road crash is still being investigated and officers are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a Peugeot 306 which was being driven towards Barnstaple and may have witnessed what happened.
