Former Dixons boss to head up fashion chain Monsoon Accessorize across Devon and Cornwall
Fashion retailer Monsoon Accessorize has appointed former Dixons boss John Browett as its new chief executive.
He will head up more than 1,000 stores across 74 countries, including around 400 outlets in the UK and 11 across Devon, Somerset and Cornwall.

Mr Browett is anticipated to take up the reins on March 4.
His appointment comes after an abrupt departure from Apple in October, six months after he moved from Dixons to lead the IT giant's global store chain in California.

Monsoon was founded by Peter Simon from a Portobello Road market stall in 1973. Accessorize was launched in 1984 and Monsoon Home followed in 1998. Monsoon was floated on the stock market in 1999, but taken private again by Mr Simon in a £755 million deal in 2007. The business has been looking for a new chief executive since May last year.
Mr Simon said: "John has the skills and experience needed to take Monsoon to the next level."
