A woman was spat on in a Plymouth street while walking her dog, say police.

The Plymouth woman, aged in her 30s, was walking her dog on February 16 when the assault happened.

She had just left Durnford Park in Stonehouse when she was approached by a man who spat in her face.

Police are investigating the offence and are seeking a white man in his early 40s, around 5ft 10in tall and of slight build.

He had scruffy brown hair and was wearing a denim jacket and jeans.

Anyone with information about the assault, which happened between 5.10pm and 5.30pm, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference EC/13/1569.
