A MAN was flown to Derriford Hospital with head injuries after a rush-hour crash at Yealmpton.

The A379 Modbury Road was closed for four hours from 7am yesterday after the accident, involving a red Ford Puma.

Police said the driver, who was on his own in the vehicle, was in his 20s.

Traffic queued in both directions on the A379 between the B3186 New Road junction and the Orchard Hill junction.
