CORNWALL kick off a busy week ahead for them when they welcome Wiltshire to Camborne tomorrow in their latest Minor Counties Championship clash.

The three-day game acts as a prelude to Wednesday's Andy Caddick's benefit match, which will see Caddickskipper a Somerset XI against the Duchy.

After two rounds of Championship action, second-placed Cornwall have 33 points, just three adrift of leaders Cheshire in the table, although Shropshire and Dorset follow closely behind.

Tomorrow's visitors, Wiltshire, have drawn both their opening two Championship games. Their latest outing saw Oxfordshire's last pair survive to hold out for a draw at Trowbridge.

However, they have tasted victory over Cornwall already this season. In the MCCA Trophy game at St Austell, Wiltshire won by 53 runs after scoring 289 for six.

Ahead of this latest encounter, Cornwall make one change from the side that beat Herefordshire at Brockhampton last time out, with Falmouth's Antony Angove replacing Somerset leg-spinner Michael Munday.

Angove is currently in form with both bat and ball. Last week he top scored with 43 in Falmouth's Premier League defeat at Truro and then took five for 18 against St Just in Tuesday evening's Vinter Cup semi-final.

Cornwall: T Sharp (Truro, capt), K Parsons (Taunton St Andrews), G Thomas (St Just), M Robins (Werrington), Chris Hunkin (Truro), A Smeeth (Werrington), G Edwards (St Just), D Davis (Callington), R Harrison (Newquay), B Smeeth (Werrington) A Angove (Falmouth).

Wiltshire: J Hibberd (capt), J A H Chandler, B J Walker, J J Breet, G A Lamb, M S Coles, T I Morton , J A Hayward, P W Turk, R G Crick, N L Harrison

WEDNESDAY'S Twenty20 game between Cornwall and Somerset at Boscawan Park will begin at 5.30pm.

Former England pace man Andy Caddick, who is again expected to fly himself in by helicopter, has named international stars such Marcus Trescothick and Justin Langer in his squad to play in Truro, and has also indicated he is hoping to have a well-known TV star in his team.

Nottinghamshire's Charlie Shreck has been given permission to play for Cornwall. Shreck was Cornwall's leading bowler before turning professional and will no doubt be given a great welcome on his return to his former club.

Gates open at 3pm, with parking in the park at £2. Admission is £5, with tickets available on the gate or from Truro CC, Tony Pryce Sports, Truro, and The Yacht Inn, Penzance.
