Eden recycles Christmas spirit
A GIANT "Christmas tree" made from thousands of recycled plastic bags is set to light up the world's biggest greenhouse.
The 33ft-high tree was built at the Eden Project in Cornwall using 22,500 plastic bags and recycled bottles.
It features an angel made from recycled industrial cling film and recycled milk bottles and will be lit every evening until Sunday January 4.
The tree was designed by artist Pete Hill and made by Eden visitors and staff.
A spokesman for Eden said: "We decided on the novel way of creating an eye-catching tree because importing a real one of similar stature would not be sustainable."
The attraction's Christmas season also includes choirs, parades, sparkling lights and an ice-rink.
