Ellis Laight on target in Buckland Athletic's success
BUCKLAND ATHLETIC warmed up for a busy week at Homer's Heath with a 2-1 Western League Premier Division win at Hallen.
Former Bideford, Taunton and Torquay United forward Ellis Laight and an own goal secured Buckland's win.
The Newton Abbot side host Premier Division rivals Bristol Manor Farm in the FA Vase next Saturday but first face a midweek Devon derby at home to Ilfracombe in the league on Wednesday.
This timely victory kept Adam Castle's side in seventh place in the top flight, while Ilfracombe Town slumped to a 6-0 defeat at leaders Gillingham Town.
