Almost 1,000 tickets have already been sold for what is set to be the region's biggest energy event covering renewables, efficiency measures and generation.

The Renewable Energy Marketplace is being staged by renewables champion Regen SW at Exeter's Westpoint, on March 19.

It will showcase 80 trade exhibitors and a host of industry leaders. Among them will be social enterprise Alliance Homes, which is currently establishing a framework to retro-fit around 10,000 homes with eco-friendly energy solutions, on behalf of social housing providers. It is currently working to establish local supply chains that will be able to fulfil its remit to social landlords.

Advice will also be on hand for businesses looking at how they can tap into opportunities that will open up through the Green Deal and the already-established ECO (energy company obligation) scheme, which provides funding to householders for a range of insulation and heating measures.
