Exeter Chiefs announce side to face Saints

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter has made six changes plus two positional for tomorrow’s visit of Northampton Saints (3pm).

Three of the changes are enforced, with Brett Sturgess, Simon Alcott and Jason Shoemark all carrying knocks.

Ben Moon and Neil Clark come into the front row for Sturgess and Alcott, with James Hanks and Dean Mumm named in the second row as Tom Hayes and Aly Muldowney start on the bench.

Tom Johnson takes over from Mumm on the blindside, with Ben White handed his first start since October after overcoming a knee injury to fill in for James Scaysbrook at openside.

In the backs, the only changes are in the centre, where Phil Dollman moves inside to take Shoemark’s place and Ian Whitten is promoted from the bench to line-up at outside centre.

Former Crediton youngster Jack Yeandle could make his Premiership debut after being called onto the bench, with Wales prop Craig Mitchell set for his first appearance since injuring his bicep in September. Sireli Naqelevuki also comes into the squad.
