Exeter City admit Alan Gow's absence will not be brief

Exeter City will be without Alan Gow again on Friday evening, when they entertain Accrington Stanley in npower League Two action. An  ankle injury sustained in a reserve-team friendly against Reading last week kept the Scottish  forward out of City's 3-0 victory at Morecambe last weekend, and the Grecians admitted yesterday that his absence is unlikely to be brief.

A statement on the Devon football club's website read: "The precise length of time that the attacker will be out of action is unknown, but is likely to be a few weeks."
