Exmouth man threatened to stab police officer and "throw him from a bridge", Exeter court hears
AN East Devon man threatened to stab and throw a police officer over a bridge, a court has heard.
Exeter Magistrates were told that Adam Scott, 20, of Green Close, Exmouth, made a number of threats during the incident in Exeter on November 29, last year.

He pleaded guilty to wilfully obstructing a constable in the execution of his duty.
Ben Winzer, prosecuting, said: "Police were called by a member of the public concerned about an argument they had witnessed.

"When they arrived, Scott became aggressive. He threatened to throw an officer off a bridge and threatened to stab them."
He was then arrested.
Mr Winzer told the court that Scott has a number of previous convictions.
Robert Shaw, defending, said: "This was all rather silly and although his actions were intimidating, there was no physical contact.
"It was not premeditated and it was only a brief incident."
Scott received a conditional discharge for four weeks with a victim surcharge of £15.
Scott is also subject to separate proceedings relating to harassment which have been adjourned until January 25.
