Firefighters tackle A38 car blaze
A fire appliance from Bovey Tracey and another from Newton Abbot were mobilised to reports of a vehicle fire on the A38 westbound, between Drumbridges and Goodstone Cross, north-west of Newton Abbot, yesterday evening.
Upon arrival crews confirmed that a car in the layby was well alight. Crews set to work to extinguish the fire using two hose reel jets, two breathing apparatus and one covering jet. The car was completely damaged by the fire.

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service report that the cause was accidental.
