Flotilla of classic motor boats is a real head turner
There was a chance to see maritime history in motion when the Classic Power Boat Rally came to Cornwall.
Some 14 boats were moored alongside the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth in an event which marked the rally's and the visitor attraction's 10th anniversary.
Organiser Tim Parr said the flotilla had proved a popular draw for tourists, despite the damp weather.
"Everyone seem to thoroughly enjoy themselves and have a good time," he said. "It was our tenth year and the National Maritime Museum's tenth year, so it turned into something of a joint birthday celebration."

The flotilla of boats, in which the oldest was from 1946, turned heads as it got under way, visiting the Ferryboat Inn at Helford one day and the Pandora Inn at Restronguet another.
"The weather wasn't perfect when we set out one day, but the time we got out on the water it was fine and everyone had a great time," Mr Parr added. The rally will return to Falmouth next September.
