THE winners of the North Devon Food and Drink awards will be revealed on Sunday.

More than 2,000 nominations were received from members of the public for this year's awards – a rise of almost 10 per cent on 2011.

The awards, organised by North Devon+ and sponsored by Farm & Cottage Holidays, give the public the chance to vote for their favourite pub, restaurant, cafe, fish and chips venue and local producer. There's also a special category for Super Service.

After the nominations are counted, the shortlisted businesses receive a "secret shopper" visit from a North Devon FoodFest judge who scores the business on a number of attributes, from cleanliness to product knowledge and service.
