Fraud charges
A BIDEFORD man has pleaded not guilty to 12 fraud charges involving £30,000.
Derek McCabe, of Bellevue Terrace, is accused of committing fraud by abuse of position a dozen times in 2006. The case will be heard at Exeter Crown Court at a date to be fixed.
He denied taking money from Jean Brimble, also of Bideford, while he held the power of attorney over her estate and when he was the executor of her husband Donald's estate.
North Devon Magistrates adjourned the case until April 28 when they will set a date for the Crown Court hearing.
