Free offer card will save you money on shopping in Plymouth
The Plymouth City Centre Company, in association with The Herald, is today launching the ShopPlymouth Saver Card, which is totally free to sign up to and use.
The Saver Card aims to give shoppers access to exclusive money-saving offers and provides another reason to support local businesses.
City centre manager Clint Jones said: "The idea behind the card is to remind people what a great shopping location Plymouth is and to give retailers the opportunity to work together to drive footfall back into their stores.
"The scheme is free to sign up to, for customers and retailers.

"Retailers simply need to commit to an offer they are comfortable with and let us know what it is so we can list it on our website and send them cards and stickers.
"Customers can register in any participating store; or online at ShopPlymouth.co.uk and then every time they open their wallet or think about going shopping they will know that if they choose Plymouth there is a good chance that many of their purchases will be discounted or have added value.
"The more people that sign up, the more compelling it is for retailers to sign up and the more retailers that sign up, the more compelling it is for customers.
"It is a simple concept, but one that I hope Plymouth can really get behind."
Also launched in association with Plymouth Citybus and Radio Plymouth, the new ShopPlymouth Saver Card is a great system for retailers.
It will not only provide customers with fantastic value for money it is also free for retailers to sign up to.
"It has never been more important to support local retailers," Mr Jones added.
"There are so many challenges to the High Street from out of town shopping centres, supermarkets and the internet that it could be viewed that we no longer want a traditional High Street.
"I don't think that is the case. I still believe that our town, district and city centres are the hearts of our communities."
Lots of shops have already signed up to the scheme and will be offering promotions to card holders ranging from discounts of 5 to 10 per cent off, special link save offers such as buy one get one half price, or even free cups of tea.
Participating retailers will display window stickers and posters, giving details of their ShopPlymouth Saver Card offer.
It is hoped more than 250 businesses will sign up to the card in the first few months.
Offers and discounts will be available online, or for more information, visit ShopPlymouth.co.uk.
Readers are being encouraged to sign up now – and a full range of offers are expected to be published on the website from next week.
Customers who provide their email address will be sent details of new discounts and participating businesses as and when they are confirmed.
