French and Saunders reunited to film in South Devon for new comedy show
ONE of the country's greatest comedy partnerships, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders, are filming together in South Devon.
The BAFTA-winning duo, who have not performed together since a Comic Relief sketch in 2009, join Jennifer's husband Ade Emondson in a new series of The Comic Strip Presents, called Five Go To Rehab.

It again spoofs the adventurous kids in Famous Five author Enid Blyton's 1940s and 1950s books — and looks at what they might be up to now.
Plymouth-born French and Saunders, who lives with Ade and their daughters near Chagford, were last seen on screen together in a Comic Relief sketch about Mamma Mia.
They embarked on a farewell live stage tour in 2008 which they took to Australia in 2009.
The new show also stars original Comic Strip writer and South Devon resident Peter Richardson.
A Gold spokesman said: "Three decades on, the West Country is still a magical land of rolling hills — but the Five have failed to live up to their priggish ideals as they confront today's world."
Commissioning editor Sarah Fraser said: "Five Go To Rehab is one family reunion where extreme havoc reigns."

“What have we learnt today, that the prolific writers, wiscot, Sinjis_Things and Philip Godden are infact all the same person...that is interesting???? He even contradicts himself in postings under the same name.
People wasting their time over where someone is born....how boring is that?
What a ****** story, makes up space doesn't it.”

“The Herald Express may wish to check my research using 'Google'. French was born in Anglesey (as stated by moyztedbear) and Saunders was born in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. Both places unrelated to Plymouth, I fear.”

“Jennifer Saunders was born in Lincolnshire and Dawn French was born in Anglesey neither of which are in Plymouth. It's just another example of sloppy reporting by the Herald Express staff when all they have to do is look on Wikipedia.”

“Plymouth born French and Saunders? I don't think any of them where born in Plymouth. Dawn lived in the city for a number of years as a youngster. Sorry just being picky!”
