Frog-marched into the EU of today
SO, Ed Miliband at the CBI annual conference, accused David Cameron of allowing Britain to "sleepwalk" to the exit door of the European Union, and that we must stay in the EU. However, he does not offer us any reasons why we should continue to be a member of this expensive club, and what Britain has gained during its membership!
We have for a fact been weighed down with red tape, rules and regulations for everything, in fact lost our powers to even think for ourselves. Our lives are now controlled by Big Brother in Europe, but what can one expect when 50-0 per cent of the commission were ex-communist or fascist nations.
It is not being "isolationist" to owe our allegiance to our Sovereign Queen, the Houses of Parliament, Court of Justices etc. but British rules and laws must remain 'paramount' and stand above anything churned out in Europe.
We were supposed to be joining a 'trading union' but instead of that we were 'frog-marched' into what we have today. The Europeans need us more than we need them! Compare our meagre 'exports' to what we 'import' from them.

So Mr Miliband, when you and your party can 'dream' up any bright ideas to get Britain back on track, please let us know. In the meantime 'think on' how you and yours got us into this mess in the first place. It's easy to come up with bright ideas when in opposition, but it's a different kettle of fish when you have to make the real decisions.

“The thing is Bill - it was the Tories who have signed most of the treaties that have dragged us further into this bureaucratic hell.
The Conservatives have always followed the money - Tony Benn was correct in his opinion that the EU was a "capitalists' club" - look at the sums of money flitting around Europe now, not to help people but to bail out banks.
The traditional opposition of the Labour party to the EU was overcame when Jaques Delors promised Neil Kinnock that he wouldn't have to deal with the likes of Thatcher if he signed up to the EU project.
As for the LibDems - well, they are the equivalent of the chancer in the pub who scrounges a pint for pointing you towards the favourite in the 2.30 at Doncaster - their only chance of power is to be voted in under Proportional Representation.
The main point to take on board though - if we want to leave the EU what sort of arrangement can we come to without disrupting our economy too much.
In/out referendums are OK but we have to know what to put in its place.
Writing negative letters about Miliband and his beloved EU isn't going to achieve anything (and I have as much disgust for him and the EU as you) - we have to put forward a positive alternative.”
