Fullabrook is still not fully operational
FULLABROOK Wind Farm is still not fully operational as further delays have arisen as engineers try to connect the windfarm to the National Grid at full capacity.
The country's biggest on-shore windfarm, near West Down, was predicted to be fully operational a month ago.
Initially delays were caused by Western Power Distribution not being able to get up to the site on planned dates.
Technical errors are still continuing and now ESB International, the company behind the site, is unable to say when the site may become fully operational.
A spokesman from ESB said: "The turbines continue, of course, to generate and export green electricity to the grid.
"In fact it is already exporting up to 50MW – about 75 per cent of its full capacity.
"However, final engineering works and compliance testing still needs to be completed for it to be able to export to its full capacity of 66MW."

“Oh great. All that effort ruining the countryside, and thise poor greedy power people can't make as much subsidy money as they would like. I enjoyed seeing that burning one in Scotland, spraying hot oil around the neighbourhood - very green, I'm sure. One down, 3,420 to go.”
