MEET Zarina, Maliya, Jari and Sabal who are busy making themselves at home at Paignton Zoo.

The four lion cubs (pictured) who were born in May have just been named with the help of visitors to the tourist attraction.

And the two girls and two boys are having plenty of fun playing follow my leader and exploring their den.

Visitors to the zoo voted for their favourite names and helped to raise money for conservation at the same time by putting money into special collecting boxes labelled with a shortlist of names chosen by zoo keepers.

This raised £702.53 for the charity in the process.

Paignton Zoo spokesman Phil Knowling said: "We made a special collecting box with a slot for each name. People voted by making a donation. It meant that people who had seen the cubs were able to vote."

The little lions are the offspring of mother Indu and father Mwamba.
