THE arrival of Domino's will make it the third takeaway pizza business on Bampton Street, with Napoli Pizza and Pizza King currently sitting side by side nearby.

The owners of Napoli Pizza previously also ran a takeaway in Westexe South, but has since closed that business to concentrate on the Bampton Street location.

The Gazette ordered a 12ins thin Smoke House from Pizza King for £8.30 and a 9ins vegetarian supreme from Napoli Pizza costing £5.80 to assess the competition.

Verdict - the meaty pizza was tasty but its saltiness left some of the team with a thirst, while the veggie option had a colourful batch of toppings but was quite doughy.
