Gdynia Way in Plymouth closed after man reported dangling from bridge
One of Plymouth's busiest routes in and out of the city was shut by police last night after concerns for the welfare of a man.
Police were called to Gdynia Way just before 9:30pm yesterday following a report of a man with a rope around his waist suspended and hanging from a bridge above Gdynia Way.
Police closed the road and with the assistance of the fire service the man was removed uninjured at around 10.15pm.
A local man, named as Lee Basset, aged 29, was arrested and taken to Charles Cross Police Station.
