'Gold' bus fleet is launched
A LUXURIOUS 'gold' bus service that connects the English Riviera and Totnes with Dartmouth and Plymouth has been launched.
Local councillors, tourism partners and members of the public attended the launch of the Stagecoach Gold service at Steamers Quay car park in Totnes on Monday.
Watched over by a golden living statue, Stagecoach South West's managing director Michael Watson and Totnes Mayor Cllr Pruw Boswell cut the ribbon.
Mr Watson said: "We're very excited about this service. We're going to be providing links we currently don't."

The company has invested £2million in the fleet of nine wheelchair and buggy accessible buses, which have leather seats with more legroom than usual, and free Wi-Fi.
Victoria Wolf, 34, from Totnes, said she would probably use the service regularly to travel to Paignton.
She said: "It's a lot nicer than the other buses on the route. Hopefully, it will encourage people who wouldn't normally use the bus to do so, which will be better for the environment."
