Chief executive Geoff Wright said: "Events like this are very important for us.
"It is not just about raising funds, it is about giving people the opportunity to see what we do here, see the animals that we are looking after and the issues that we still face in the 21st century like dogs being abandoned or dumped."
Visitors enjoyed entertainment including a display by the Red Sparrows.
