"We want to celebrate the local allotment and demonstrate to people how easy it can be to start growing their own food at home.
"We want to embrace the knowledge of all of our local allotment societies and get them to show our visitors how to start off their own veg patch at home."
The competition will be run in April and each entrant will be given seeds, compost and growing boxes to start off their show garden and £600 of gardening vouchers will be awarded to the winners.
