Growth deal plans aim to transform South West economy
The South West's economic relationship with central Government could be transformed after ministers agreed to adopt Lord Heseltine's plans for Growth Deals.
Today's revelation was made as the Government published its formal response to Lord Heseltine's No Stone Unturned report.

The Government today announced it is accepting the overwhelming majority of its recommendations, and set out how it is equipping the UK to thrive in the global race.
A central plank is to reverse excessive centralisation, freeing local areas from Whitehall control and giving businesses and local leaders the power and the funding to do what they need to achieve their potential. Financial Secretary and Cities Minister Greg Clark said: " Growth Deals, building on the successful City Deals, will transform the relationship between central government and the South West, giving businesses and local organisations power and the funding to unleash the potential of the region."
