A MAN has admitted attacking and seriously injuring a woman.

Stewart Maben, aged 30, pleaded guilty when he appeared at Plymouth Crown Court to maliciously wounding the woman.

But he denied an alternative charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The court heard the woman was left with a head wound after Maben struck her with an object in Honicknowle on May 23 last year.
