A young photographer's Olympic-themed portraits have earned her national recognition in a tough contest.
Hannah Dyson, 21, from Kingsbridge, beat hundreds of entrants to take first prize in the Portraits of Britain competition.
The student at Plymouth College of Art received an invitation to collect her prize from MP David Willetts at an awards ceremony in London.
Her winning piece, including a sports portrait of a basketball player, was one of more than 450 submissions in the competition open to all higher education students in the UK.

"I was delighted to win such a massive competition especially to beat so many other entrants from all over the country," Hannah said.
She developed an interest in photography aged 11 during her secondary school education at Kingsbridge Community College. She said: "When I was young I liked taking pictures of family and pets. Then I started going outdoors to take pictures."
She now specialises in marine and landscape photography.
The young photographer added: "Once I've finished college I'll be looking for freelance opportunities and more work experience."
