Hawley opens account to earn Torquay a share of the spoils
Karl Hawley scored his first goal for Torquay United as the Gulls came back from 1-0 down to draw at Morecambe.
The 31-year-old former Walsall, Carlisle United, Preston North End, Notts County and Scunthorpe United marksman slotted in after 55 minutes.
Torquay had gone behind at the Globe Arena to a Ryan Williams goal after 24 minutes, but there was little in the encounter up to half-time otherwise.
Hawley's goal deservedly brough Torquay back in the game ten minutes into the second half, and from then on they could and perhaps should have gone on to add another, but were unable to convert a string of chances.

They were, however, ultimately glad of a share of the points as the final whistle blew, having gone down to ten men when Dale Tonge was dismissed for a second yellow card in the 86th minute.
