Highlighting domestic abuse issue
Five of Plymouth’s leading law firms have combined forces to highlight the issues of domestic abuse help provide support and guidance to victims.
For the second year running Hartnell Chanot & Partners, together with Wolferstans, Nash & Co, Gill Akaster and Woollcombe Yonge, will provide sponsorship towards the Freedom Programme.
The Freedom Programme runs over 12 weeks and teaches the reality of domestic abuse and its effects.
All five firms said they were committed to highlighting the issue of domestic abuse in the region and providing the best service to their clients, which includes being able to identify risk and take appropriate steps.

Each firm also volunteers time on a regular basis to provide free family law advice via Plymouth Domestic Abuse Service.
Alexandra Boardman, speaking on behalf of the group, said: “I am delighted we have been able to sponsor the Freedom Programme handbooks again.
“Each of our firms regularly work with men and women that have been victims of domestic abuse. This is just one of the ways that we can help educate people about the risks and reality of domestic abuse.”
