Horse became stuck in barn
A horse which became wedged inside a delapidated stone barn near Tiverton was rescued by firefighters.
In snowy conditions on Saturday, February 4, firefighters from Witheridge aided by a specialist rescue team from Barnstaple worked to free the animal from the barn on a farm at Rackenford near Tiverton.
The horse was unable to turn around to release itself and crews were called to the scene shortly after 2pm.
It was eventually released using strops, specialist animal rescue equipment, small tools and a manual winch.
The horse tired but otherwise uninjured and was returned to the care of its owner.
