Hungry owl Zeus spotted on edge of Exeter
Zeus, the fly-away Eurasian Eagle Owl, who has been missing from his Exeter home for over a week, has been spotted on the outskirts of the city.
The giant owl, owned by Lee Hayman of Summerway, Whipton, is thought to be showing himself more often as he becomes more and more hungry.
Said Lee:”He is not a hunting bird so he hasn’t eating anything and is getting more hungry - which is why he is being spotted more often.
“The trouble is as soon as he is seen he is scared away by crows and seagulls and has to move on so we are always just ebhind him.”
