Hunt for burglar who took knife into house and left with money

A man carried an eight inch knife into a Devon house and walked away with a wallet and cash in an aggravated burglary.

The ordeal took place in Chudleigh on Friday, February 1 at a property in Moor View at around 6pm.

The suspect is believed to have been in possession of a knife with an eight inch blade.

The suspect is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, 5ft 10ins in height and of slight build.

He was wearing a dark hoodie with the hood up, dark jeans and white shoes.

A bum bag, wallet and a small amount of cash were taken.

PC Hoskin-Cole, investigating officer, said: “Although this is a distressing crime, it is relatively rare. We understand there may have been witnesses so if you saw anything that may help us with our enquiries please get in touch.”
