JOELY RICHARDSON has opened up about her struggle to come to terms with the death of her sister NATASHA RICHARDSON.
The former Nip/Tuck actress revealed that she was so grief-stricken after Natasha died in 2009 following a skiing accident that she shut herself off and ended up losing both friends and her relationship.
She told the Telegraph: “Tasha leaving us was just absolutely heartbreaking, and it was heartbreaking over a very long period of time.”
Joely said the loss was like “a giant explosion” which left “many casualties”.

The former Harry Potter star will lend his voice to the lead character of Amadeo in the English version of JUAN JOSE CAMPANELLA’S film, which was a blockbuster in its native Argentina, reported Variety.
Amadeo is described as “a shy table soccer genius whose table soccer figures come alive to help him save his local town and win his childhood sweetheart”.
ANTHONY HEAD and EVA PONSOBY will also voice characters in the new version of the movie.
The original Spanish-speaking Foosball will make its debut at the London Film Festival in October.

The Chatty Man host met David and his wife VICTORIA at a dinner at KELLY HOPPEN’S house, where he tried to persuade the couple to appear on his show after he’d had a few drinks.
The 37-year-old told the Daily Star: “I did get drunk with the Beckhams. I do remember going, ‘When are you coming on Chatty Man?’ and grabbing David. I do get a bit over-friendly when I’ve had wine so I’m sure I was stroking him too. He said he would do it.”
He added: “I think Victoria and David are so much fun.”
*Former Coronation Street star LIZ DAWN is to undergo heart surgery, it has been reported.
The 73-year-old actress – who suffered a heart attack in May this year – is set to have a pacemaker fitted on Friday, September 27, according to The Sun newspaper.
Liz, who smoked for 50 years, was diagnosed with incurable emphysema in 2004. Doctors have reportedly told her she needs the operation to help cope with the extra strain the disease has put on her heart.
The actress, who quit smoking 15 years ago, starred as Vera Duckworth in Corrie for 34 years. She left in 2008 due to ill health.
*COLIN FARRELL might be set to star in the upcoming Warcraft movie.
The Dead Man Down actor has been offered a lead role in the film version of the popular World Of Warcraft video game, reported Deadline.
However, sources have apparently said that it is “50/50” as to whether the star signs a deal.
If Colin does take the part, he could find himself starring alongside 2 Guns actress PAULA PATTON, who is said to be negotiating for a lead role.
Production on the film, which is being directed by Moon filmmaker DUNCAN JONES, is due to start in January.
