Ilfracombe win tussle at top
ILFRACOMBE beat Barnstaple and Pilton II to move clear at the top of the Stayindevon.co.uk North Devon League fourth division.
The home side's 19-run win on a wet pitch and even wetter outfield saw the top two swap positions.
Mark Cavanagh's 33 was a superb effort in the conditions and helped Ilfracombe, who were put in to bat, to 139 for nine.
With James Newman taking three for 12 off nine overs, Barnstaple fell short at 120 for nine.

Ilfracombe had looked set for a more convincing victory until an eighth-wicket stand between Matt Clarke (20) and Dave Loder (18).
James Roe was the pick of the Barnstaple bowlers with three for 20.
James Corry, the Westleigh captain, was unlucky to be defeated as Heathcoat II moved above his side into third place with a 16-run home win. Corry took four for 41 in Heathcoat's 191 for nine and then made 95 as Westleigh were bowled out for 175.
Petrockstowe fell to the bottom of the table as North Devon III won by 41 runs despite being bowled out for 105.
Tim Cooke took four for 27 and Sam Witheridge three for seven to dismiss Petrockstowe for 64.
Kelseymen did enough in an 18-run home defeat to Filleigh II, which was inspired by five wickets from Anna Squire.
Kevin Toze scored 43 in Filleigh's 186 for seven before Squire took five for 31 in the hosts' 168 all out, which included 68 from Gary Brooke.
Hatherleigh II ended Bishops Nympton's unbeaten record, bowling out the fifth division leaders for 75. Bryan Stacey took four for 17 and David Manning and Edward Dumpleton grabbed three wickets each in the 45-run victory.Jack Ashmore made 51 in Hatherleigh's 120 all out.
