BOSSES from the firm behind Plymouth's incinerator will be grilled online on Thursday.

Representatives from MVV Environment Devonport Limited, headed by managing director Paul Carey (left), will be taking your questions live online on thisisplymouth.co.uk.

The huge project has been one of the hottest topics among Plymouth people over recent years. Work is now well under way on building the multi-million-pound energy-from-waste plant.

MVV chiefs will be answering questions as part of the debate, which will run from 12pm until 2pm.

“Interesting to read this in the news today (real news from a proper news provider i.e. not the Herald) - UK IN COURT ON AIR POLLUTION LEVELS - http://tinyurl.com/bo8og7d

DEFRA are one of the major organisations behind a national policy of building incinerators (and very much behind the MoD/ SWDWP project at the Barne Barton site) demonstrating to all how much they (don't)care for the health and wellbeing of all citizens, and how trustworthy their hollow meaningless words really are.”

“rubydogsouth - hit the nail on the head!!

    Bosses, Representatives, MVV chiefs....all plural......

One of my many questions was what did they have in place for then the A38 is closed due to accidents as recently when traffic was backed up in the residential areas. I think I asked that at least three times.....still, we can look forward to all the questions and all the answers soon....

Carey was quick enough to reply 'Simply not true' when a reader said was a done deal.....

    "Printed in Energy Business Review
"Imtech secures supply contract from MVV Energie
EBR Staff Writer Published 17 May 2011
Europe-based technical services provider, Imtech, has received a EUR30m ($42.33m) contract from MVV Energie to provide a steam-turbine generator for its new energy-from-waste power plant in Plymouth, UK.
Construction at the plant will begin next year and commercial operations will commence in 2014."

Fish around and I'm sure there is more......

Note to editor and MVV boss(es): please do not patronise those who are blighted by this and those who probably know more than the seven who voted for this. We have genuine concerns and demand the truth not half a story to suit a company which stands to make a massive profit. This has little to do with dealing with Plymouth's waste!!”

“Well that was a complete and utter disgrace. The Herald claiming this to be a chance to "..question boss of Plymouth incinerator scheme" and claiming he'd be "…grilled online…" in a live and open debate.

Several questions were submitted only to be ignored. A fact made obvious when chronologically speaking, many questions submitted prior to those that were published and responded to (I won't say answered as that, as Paul Carey would say, is "simply not true"), were nowhere to be seen. And what of the questions submitted in writing or via email; very few of these if any were published and responded to. Suffice to say that the said ignored and unpublished questions were quite probing, and probably too damaging/ awkward for PAUL 'THE COWARD AND LIAR ' CAREY to answer there and then.

And so the two hours past with very little progress, no real insight, no investigative journalism (as always with the COWARDLY BROWN NOSES OF THE HERALD) and no answers. A job well done eh Herald!?

You really are the most disgustingly vile, corporate bottom sniffing s c u m.”

“I suspect this will be more a PR stunt thought up between the herald and MVV than a real debate about this unwanted costly nightmare we have been unlucky to have thrust on us !!!!”

“I think the people of Saltash Passage Weston Mill and St Budeaux who cannot sell their homes due to this development, need answers. Will MVV start buying up the houses that have now been on the market for 12 months? Especially if they can prove they wish to leave Plymouth to get as far away as possible from this Incinerator. His Employees could live nearby then. He could buy one of the many Executive Detached waterfront homes for sale and live there himself if its so safe.

People want to leave the area but cant, I know one home owner who has a fabulous waterfront home has dropped her price by £50.000 from its Valuation last spring and still cant sell, she wants to move her family to Sussex near where Mr Carey lives far away from Incinerators.

Never mind pumping money into community schemes, he needs to put his money where his mouth is, especially since he keeps saying it so safe well then Mr Carey MOVE HERE Prove it.

Help the Homeowners whose Homes you have Blighted.”
