Jamie Cureton nominated for League Two award
Exeter City striker Jamie Cureton is one of three players to have been nominated for the npower League Two player of the year award.
The 37-year-old has enjoyed a fine campaign and has 20 goals to his name already this season. Such goalscoring has played a huge part in the Grecians' push for promotion.

Exeter City's Jamie Cureton
Cureton will find out if he has won the award on Sunday, but faces stiff competition from Port Vale striker Tom Pope, who is the only player to have scored more goals than Cureton this season – he has 25 to his name – and Bradford City's talismanic midfielder Gary Jones.
"Jamie is an extremely good goalscorer and if you give him an opportunity to play his game in a team that respects what he does – and admires what he does, like we do – then it shouldn't be a surprise," City boss Paul Tisdale said.

"What might be a surprise is that he is in his late 30s, but he still has that incredible hunger to score goals by playing every week. He is certainly not someone that just wants to be a squad player.
"He has a desire to perform and achieve personal goals by scoring goals as well as be part of a team and I think that single-mindedness and focus for scoring goals is what makes him.
"I am really pleased for him, hopefully he can add promotion to that accolade as well."
The shortlist was drawn up from votes by all the managers in League Two. The award is one of 17 to be handed out at the Football League's gala dinner on Sunday evening at The Brewery in London.
Exeter supporter Neil Le Milliere is also up for an award and is one of three people shortlisted for the npower Fan of the Year.
