Jamie Reckord signed on loan from Wolves to try to fill left-back
MANAGER John Sheridan has made a renewed attempt to fill the problem position of left-back at Plymouth Argyle.
Jamie Reckord, 21, has arrived on a three-month loan from League One outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Sheridan has been searching for someone to hold down the left-back role since Onismor Bhasera, the Pilgrims' 2012/13 player-of-the-year, chose not to accept the offer of a new contract in the summer.
Finnish international Tuomas Rannankari, former Argyle player Ryan Dickson and Martin John all had trials in pre-season.

However, for one reason or another, none of them were signed by Sheridan.
Dickson ended up moving to League One outfit Colchester United and has already made five starts for them this term, including their 2-1 defeat at home to leaders Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Sheridan eventually signed former Celtic left-back Andre Blackman towards the end of pre-season on a short-term contract until January.
The 22-year-old started the first three competitive matches of the campaign but was then dropped from the team.
Instead, Sheridan has played right-back Durrell Berry out of position for the last three fixtures.
However, Berry had to be substituted early in the second half of Argyle's 2-1 defeat at Morecambe in League Two on Saturday because of a sore knee.
Blackman was on the bench but rather than calling upon him Sheridan sent on Maxime Blanchard.
That led to a defensive reshuffle with Curtis Nelson moving to left-back and Blanchard replacing him at right-back.
Reckord's move to Argyle was registered in time for him to be eligible to play in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round tie away to Cheltenham Town tonight (7.45pm).
The former England youth international will only meet his new team-mates for the first time before the game at Whaddon Road.
Despite this, there must be every chance that Reckord will make an immediate debut for the Pilgrims.
Reckord is a graduate of Wolves' youth academy and turned professional with the Black Country club in 2010.
He has played twice for Wanderers at senior level, both times in the starting line-up for League Cup ties.
Reckord made his debut in a 4-0 away win against Northampton Town in August 2011 and also featured for Wolves when they lost 1-0 at Morecambe last month.
The left-back has had previous loan spells at Northampton, Scunthorpe United and Coventry City.
Reckord's debut for Northampton came on the eve of his 19th birthday in March 2011 and was a 2-1 defeat away to Chesterfield – who were then managed by Sheridan.
He played seven times for Northampton and went on to make 17 appearances for Scunthorpe during the 2011/12 season.
Reckord signed on loan for Coventry in September 2012 as part of a triple swoop by newly-appointed boss Mark Robins.
The Wolves defender made 10 starts and two substitute appearances for the Sky Blues before returning to Molineux that November.
Reckord, who is under contract to Wanderers until next summer, will wear the number 28 shirt for Argyle.
His loan takes him up to and including the Devon derby against Torquay United at Home Park on January 1.
