Event organiser, Andrew Barker, said: "The Kagemusha drumming team combine powerful, pounding rhythms with graceful moves and melodies to create an extraordinary, irresistible energy which the athletes will feed off as they battle it out on the beach."
Preliminary rounds of the Tribal Clash competition will start at 9am on Saturday August 31 and 8am on Sunday September 1, culminating in the final on Sunday afternoon.
Spectators are encouraged to come and cheer on the competing teams as they take on a variety of testing physical challenges both on and off the water. There'll also be opportunities for onlookers to put their own strength and fitness to the test.
An unprecedented opportunity to join the Kagemusha Taiko team for the Tribal Clash weekend is being offered to a limited number of fit and strong individuals.
Mr Barker said: "New recruits will be given expert training on the Friday afternoon before joining one of three drum teams charged with keeping the beat constant across the weekend.
"Absolutely no previous drumming experience is required to take part, just plenty of stamina."
