Jason Bourne charged with stealing a car and drink driving in Honiton, Exeter court hears

Exeter magistrates have given an East Devon man an interim driving ban after he was charged with stealing a car and driving it through a garden fence in Honiton.

Jason Bourne, 22, of Hazelwood Close, Honiton, appeared in court charged with driving a Ford Focus without lawful authority and being involved in an accident on November 11, which he denies.

He was also charged with driving in Weatherill Road, Lower Brand Lane and and Marlpits Lane in Honiton on the same date while the proportion of alcohol in his breath was 72mcg in 100ml, exceeding the legal limit. He pleaded guilty to this.

Bourne was remanded on bail until February 18 next year for a trial. He was released on conditional bail.
