A JAZZ event near Witheridge raised more than £2,400 for the Children's Hospice South West last week.

The Jazz by the Riverside party, now in its 16th year, attracted revellers from across North Devon on Saturday, July 10 who came to see the Bennett Brothers All Star Band.

The event was organised by the Chulmleigh CHSW Friends Group. Chairman Di Sweeney said: "It was an evening of pure magic.

"The event has now raised more than £21,000 in total and we are eternally grateful to John and Sheila Hockley who have let us use their beautiful riverside garden for the past 16 years."
