DISABLED sailors have enjoyed a boost thanks to a £300 donation from the Rotary Club of Preston.

Dart Sailability has bought a hand-held radio and replaced a damaged jib sail on one of its boats.

The vessel was giving to the charity by the rotary club eight years ago.

Handing over the new radio and watching the new sail flutter, Mike Ford former president of Preston Rotary, said: "Dart Sailability is such a worthwhile charity, allowing people with disabilities and in wheelchairs to have independence, with big smiles on their faces they are in charge of their own mobility."
