Jimmy Keohane nets in Exeter City Reserves match against Bristol City
JIMMY Keohane put himself into contention for a recall to the Exeter City starting line-up by scoring for the reserves in a 1-1 draw at home to Bristol City on Tuesday.
The Irish-born midfielder made a substitute appearance in City's last league outing against Rotherham and, with Tommy Doherty out injured, he will have been eager to impress manager Paul Tisdale. Scot Bennett, who also featured in the Rotherham match, started alongside Keohane in midfield.

The first half was end-to-end, with Bristol City taking the lead midway through the half when a shot from the edge of the area was deflected by one of their own players past Rhys Evans.
The Grecians were unfortunate not to get back into the match before half-time when Jamie Reid hit a 25-yard drive against the crossbar, and he hit the woodwork moments later. Elliott Chamberlain had a chance to equalise after beating the offside trap from Jordan Tillson's punt forward, but a covering defender cleared.

City got on top of the match during the second half as Keohane came close when he drilled a shot from outside the area but it was touched onto the post. City managed to claw back an equaliser with 15 minutes left as a pin-point cross from Tillson was nodded home by Keohane.
Evans had to be alert again towards the end of the game as he turned a shot from a tight angle around the frame of the goal to give City a 1-1 draw.
