Join charity dog walk
WALKERS in Plymouth are being urged to take part in a fundraising event for Woodside Animal Welfare Trust.
The three-mile 'Wag 'n Walk' in nearby Cann Woods is taking place on Saturday, September 7 with registration taking place at the car park between 10.30am and 1pm. Walkers can take part with or without a companion and organisers hope to raise £3,000.
Sponsor forms are available or, if you just wish to walk, there is a £5 entry fee. Refreshments will be available at the Sanctuary too.

Members of the public are invited to a fun and informative evening all about moths and bats to be found in the cemetery.
There will be a bat walk led by members of the Devon Bat Group followed by the opportunity to observe moths as they arrive at light traps set around the grounds.
Visitors are asked to bring a torch and refreshments will be available throughout the evening which starts at 7.30pm on Friday, September 6.
A CONCERT to be performed by the 1 Achord Singers is to be held in Laira.
The event takes place on Friday, September 13, 7.30pm at St Mary's the Virgin Church, Federation Road.
There will be a varied programme of well-known music and admission is £5.
