Jones to bolster squad ahead of a busy run-in
CLIVE Jones believes he will have to reinforce his Willand Rovers squad ahead of a hectic end-of-season run-in.
The Silver Street side had yet another match postponed at the weekend – their trip to Bitton – meaning yet another fixture between now and the end of the season that will have to be squeezed in.

Jones has Steve Orchard and Dave Hambly unavailable for tonight's (Tuesday's) match away to Ilfracombe, while Lloyd Beech and Danny Baily both miss out due to knee injuries.
And Jones says missing that number of players during a crucial run-in is just too risky for Willand.

"We may have to look at signing some players to add to the squad because of all the games we have to make up," said the long-serving Willand boss.
"I think it's obvious – just look at the players I have out missing for the Ilfracombe match, so I think we'll definitely need more.
"I may well be talking to some this week about bringing people in because I think we'll need them.
"I won't be able to borrow any players because other clubs will be in the same situation as us, so we will have to make more signings.
"I just need a bit more versatility. I don't want to cover every position because I have a good squad of 18 when everyone is fit, but I do need to cover some areas."
Looking ahead to the Ilfracombe match, Jones admitted it would be tough without four first-team players.
But he insisted the situation would ease ahead of this Saturday's Les Phillips Cup clash at home to Buckland Athletic (3pm).
"I have got a couple of players missing for Ilfracombe, but if we can get through this one then I'm confident things will get better for us," he said.
"I'm missing a few players due to injuries and work. Lloyd Beech is not quite ready. We thought he might be ready for Saturday but we had a look at him and decided he wasn't quite ready and we didn't want to risk him.
"It's been so frustrating not playing though. I can't remember anything like this.
"I have never known it to be so bad. We just want to play football.
"It has been so long I've even forgotten the rules of football. I think I would rather us play even if we lose the game. We just want to get back to playing football again."
