Jones loses Bristol bout
TIVERTON ABC's Zack Jones suffered a controversial defeat when he boxed Downend's ABC Owen Piret in Bristol on Sunday.
Jones, who will fight in his ABA schoolboy quarter-final up in London on Saturday against Epsom and Ewell's Neville Smith, put in a good performance in Bristol but lost on a majority points decision.

In the first round, Piret came out trying to catch Jones cold. However, Jones' tight guard and lighting-fast combinations to the head and body saw him safely through.
Jones was bossing the bout from the centre of the ring forcing Piret to work for every second of the round.

At the final bell, Jones camp thought they had won the match but were shocked when a majority points decision went in favour of Piret.
